Among them were several large multi-spindle machines that Morley ended up following to the Pacific Northwest, where he formally founded Morley Machine Tool Alignment. This bold northwest plan included retrofitting the multi-spindle machines, setting up a new 5-axis machining facility, and implementing a program to comply with new aerospace certification standards. This ultimately led to Morley’s successful preventative and predictive maintenance programs, utilizing ballbar and laser technology. Morley has since acquired many loyal customers throughout the United States, Canada and Asia. The company has experienced steady growth and continues to invest in new technologies and training; it has amassed the best selection of metrology equipment on the west coast, and has solidified its position as a leader in machine tool alignment, calibration, repair, rebuilt and retrofit services. In 2020, Tony Morley decided to take the next step on his journey and divest the company to another local business, Omega Morgan, the Pacific Northwest’s largest provider of heavy equipment moving and industrial services. The two companies had worked on various projects together over 25 years, and Tony felt that the synergies of the two companies would come together to equal something greater than each individual organization–and ultimately, better serve their customers. Omega Morgan and Morley’s union now offer customers a more holistic range of services under the roof of one company.
